Samsung and LG Smart TVs are common in Brampton households, and both support IPTV player apps through their respective app stores. Setting up IPTV directly on a Smart TV means no external device is required — the TV itself runs the player app. This guide covers the setup process for both Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) Smart TVs.
Samsung Smart TV setup
On Samsung Smart TVs, open the Smart Hub and navigate to Apps. Search for a compatible IPTV player application and install it. Open the app, enter your activation details (server URL, username, and password), and save the configuration. The channel list will load, and you can browse using your Samsung remote.
LG Smart TV setup
On LG Smart TVs, open the LG Content Store and navigate to the Apps section. Search for a compatible IPTV player and install it. Open the app, enter your activation details, and save. The channel list will load, and you can browse using your LG Magic Remote or standard remote.
Wired Ethernet is recommended
Smart TVs often have built-in Wi-Fi, but a wired Ethernet connection provides a more stable streaming experience, especially for 4K content. If your Smart TV has an Ethernet port, connect it directly to your router or a network switch. If your TV is far from your router, consider a powerline adapter or a mesh Wi-Fi system.
